CERTIFICATES
--
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) aims to verify the content of recycled materials in products such as textiles, and ensure that practices related to social responsibility, environment, and chemistry during the production process comply with specific requirements. This standard covers the entire supply chain from raw material procurement to final products, including processes such as processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trading, and distribution.
It covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution activities of textiles containing no less than 70% organically certified natural fiber components. Genetically modified fibers and chemical pesticides are prohibited throughout the entire process from cultivation to processing, and it complies with social responsibility requirements, making it a high-end certification for organic textiles.
EUROPEAN FLAX™ (European Flax™) is a globally recognized certification mark for high-quality European-grown flax fibers and their downstream products. It is committed to ensuring the traceability, sustainability and premium quality of flax, and has become a benchmark for the high-end flax industry.
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a Swiss-registered non-profit founded in 2009, focused on advancing sustainable global cotton production. It sets a globally recognized "Better Cotton" standard integrating environmental (e.g., efficient water use, reduced harmful inputs) and social (decent labor) principles. Operating via a multi-stakeholder membership system, BCI supports farmers (mostly smallholders) across the supply chain to adopt sustainable practices. Instead of product certification, it uses a mass balance system to connect brand procurement to improved on-farm production, driving industry-wide responsibility.
It applies to textiles, auxiliary materials, and products in all production stages, including textile and non-textile components as well as recycled materials. Based on Appendix 4 and Appendix 6, this certification tests for over 1,000 hazardous substances such as formaldehyde and PFAS, making it one of the most globally recognized textile safety certifications.
It sets globally recognized standards covering environmental protection (e.g., biodiversity conservation), social equity (respecting indigenous rights), and economic viability.
